Tone Dial — 12-Position Passive Tone Selector Pedal
Ever knocked your tone knob mid-take and lost the sound you spent an hour dialing in? That's why I built this.
The Tone Dial is the only 12-position passive tone selector in pedal form. No knobs. No guessing. Stomp in, pick your position, and that exact tone is locked — repeatable every session, every gig, every recording.

No install bill. No soldering iron. Just plug in and play.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
Most tone controls use a knob — infinite positions, zero repeatability. You find a great tone, you nudge it by accident, it's gone.
Tone Dial uses 12 discrete voicings across 2 banks. Every position is exact. Every position is the same tomorrow as it is today. Set it, remember it, forget about it.
This isn't a Gibson Varitone clone. No inductor coil, no mid-notch scoop, no depth knob to fuss with. It's a set-and-forget tone selector — pure, simple, repeatable.
Perfect for:
- Session musicians who need to recall tones between takes
- Recording guitarists who switch guitars mid-session
- Live players who want consistent tone without touching a knob
- Bass players hunting that dark, vintage passive tone
12 VOICINGS ACROSS 2 BANKS
Bank A — Subtle to moderate cuts
Bright, articulate tones. Ideal for single coils, bright pickups, or when you want to tame harshness without losing clarity.
Bank B — Dramatic cuts
Warm, dark, vintage, all the way to full mudbucker territory. Built for humbuckers, jazz tones, and bass players chasing that old-school passive darkness.
6 positions per bank. A/B toggle switches between them. Every position is exact and repeatable.

GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY
Passive design: Larger capacitors in Bank B create some volume drop — normal for high-cut filters. Compensate with your guitar volume or add gain afterward.
Best placement: First in chain, right after your instrument, for the most musical tone shaping.
Active pickups: Tone Dial is designed for passive pickup systems. Bank B may work with some higher-impedance active systems, but results vary. Bank A is generally not effective with active electronics. When in doubt — test in your rig before gigging with it.
Long cable runs: Add a buffer after the Tone Dial in large rigs to prevent high-frequency loss.
